(Below) Mayflor gives bags of food to 118 families who are victims of the October 2006 fire that devastated Bongaitan/Mangagoy, and who continue to suffer. All families continue to live in a temporary shelter made from wood framing and tarpaulin walls and roof. All foods were supplied through donations from U.S. supporters.

(Below) Mayflor discovers a nine year old boy named Joecel Eco who had died the previous day. The parents had no money at the time for a coffin to bury the child in. Two families live in this one small room, as do ones in all other rooms of the shelter. Food and medical care could have saved this child.
